Hi everyone. Finally Friday :). It has been a really long and busy week. So, here I am again sharing with you all my views about this weekend. Hope you like it.
Probably
most of you know what music means to me. But in case you don´t you should know
that I´m really fond of music. I can´t imagine my life without it. Do you want
me to tell you a secret? I think that in another life I might have been a music
producer instead of an English teacher, haha…
The thing
is that this week I realized something quite funny about myself. Every time I
go out from my house the first thing that I take is my mp3 and the headphones.
No matter if I go to the supermarket or to the University. Music goes with me everywhere
I go.
But the
funny thing is that on Tuesday, while I was on my way to University I turned my
mp3 on, chose one song from the list (TREASURE by Bruno Mars) and pressed the
play button. If you have the chance to listen to this song you will realize that
the melody is really catchy and 80´s like. While I was listening to the song,
AND THIS IS THE FUNNY PART, I started to walk as a TOP MODEL! And I walked in
that way for about 2 BLOCKS :o…Yes, you can laugh if you want. I did it as well
when I realized :). I
don´t know what happened to me, but from the moment the song started I imagined
myself walking down an extensive catwalk with a lot of paparazzi taking photographs
and people clapping.
It was
really hilarious. I mean, did people think about me? They might have probably said: “OMG, there must be something wrong with her” “She is not
normal”. And of course they were right. Anyway, it was too late when I realized
that I was walking so PARTICULARLY FUNNY, haha!! HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU?
What I know
for sure is that from now on I will pay attention to what I do while I listen
to music in order to prevent this to happen again, haha!!!
It has been
a pleasure to share my experience with you girls. Feel free to laugh as much as
you want, I don´t mind :)
SEE U!!!
p/s: Here is the song I was telling you about.
Haha!!! Nadya!!! Your post and experience were really funny!! I couldn't stop picturing you walking like that in the middle of the city centre!!! Haha!!! It is ridiculously strange how music can make us behave in particular ways while listening to it!!! In case you don't know, I LOVE music VERY MUCH, specially singing... And maybe one day, if I can, I will study something related to it... So, I understand what music can provoke on you!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't listened to that Bruno Mars' song, the one I know is "Just the Way you Are" and I LOVE IT!!! But, after what you just shared, I will DEFINITELY listen to it now!!! Haha ;)
Nadya! The same has happened to me many times. You get so disconnected from the world when you listen to a song you like, that you forget there may be people watching. But it's a great feeling!
ReplyDeletehaha I imagine the situation!! Yeah, it happens all the time. Listening to music means disconnecting from the world and reconnecting with ourselves. It's great!!
ReplyDeleteThe moment you relized what you were doing must have been so embarrassing! Though you must have laughed so much about it. What you have made me realized is that it has been a long time since I do something creative while listening to music. What I do sometimes is whistling, and to me my mouth is like an orchestra, ha ha.
ReplyDeleteThanx for allowing us to laugh!, ha..ha! what a funny story. Well it seems that music means a lot to you, and beyond this particular episode you lived, I think it is a good thing. Music accompanies us in many situations, when we are happy, sad, excited, etc. Moreover, it can also help you release some hidden desires about yourself; like being a model, in your case!ha...ha. Just joking!Well, if you were happy, let the rest of the people imagine what they want. That´s something secondary. Nothing better than being happy.
ReplyDeleteThe same happened to me but, instead of walking in a funny way as you did, I found myself singing aloud as if I were having a shower. When I realized, I understood why people looked ar me the way they did. :/ so embarasing!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I always do something similar to that! As I also listen to music while I am walking, I tend to sing aloud. Sometimes, I forget that I'm singing aloud and that is embarrasing!! So, I understand your situation!!
